March is Mindfulness Month, What That Means

Once the domain of Buddhist monks, now even the U.S. Military says Mindfulness is important for mental and emotional health.

According to a recent article in Army.mil, "Improving Military Resilience through Mindfulness Training," neuroscientist Dr. Amishi Jha has demonstrated that mindfulness meditation positively supports active-duty Soldiers in protecting and training their minds. His University of Miami-led research study showed that mindfulness training helps Soldiers better prepare for high-stress combat situations while also improving overall cognitive resilience and performance.

ACG's Mindfulness for Change workshops bring together military personnel, first responders, and the larger Fayetteville/Fort Bragg community to enhance well-being and performance by applying scientifically proven principles to reduce stress, increase energy and focus, restore relationships, and strengthen gratitude, happiness and compassion.

Mindfulness for Change workshops are held monthly at our headquarters at 221 1/2 Hay Street, Fayetteville NC. Please join us!
